Early battles often get lost or forgotten in the story of war. But they are often very significant.
This film describes the role of those brave Indian and Sikh troops who fought, and held, the lines in the early part of World War One. In 2014-15 we remembered the 100th anniversary of those early battles of which there were many, particularly the role of the Indians and Sikhs as they fought alongside us.
This trailer also features an emotional ceremony at the Menin Gate for those troops from the subcontinent who came and died for the freedoms we have today.
